How to teach English
Teaching English is a rewarding career. If you enjoy helping people and enjoy learning about different cultures, you will enjoy being an English teacher.
Here are some instructions:
First, prepare notes before you teach a class. Make sure you know your material and have enough material to cover the allotted class time.
Second, always speak English. Do not let the students speak their native language ring class or to other students.
Third, your classes should include: speaking skills, listening skills, reading skills, grammar skills, and writing skills. If you teach a 1 hour class, focus on one skill per class. If you teach a 2, 3, or 4 hour class, include more skills in each class.
Last but not least, ask the students questions; keep the class interactive. Don't lecture.
