網上中國專利的檢索可以通過多個網站進行，有收費網站也有免費網站。

1、中專國屬國家知識產權局網站：

(1)欄位檢索：

系統提供了16個檢索欄位，用戶可根據已知條件，從16個檢索入口做選擇，可以進行單欄位檢索或多欄位限定檢索。每個檢索欄位均可進行模糊檢索，用%(必須使用半形格式)，代表一個任意字母、數字或字；可使用多個模糊字元，且可在輸入檢索字元串任何位置，首位置可省略。

(2)IPC分類檢索

IPC分類導航檢索即利用IPC類表中各部、大類、小類，逐級查詢到感興趣的類目，點擊此類目名稱，可得到該類目下的專利檢索結果（外觀設計除外）。

IPC分類導航檢索同時提供關鍵詞檢索，即在選中某類目下，在發明名稱和摘要等范圍內再進行關鍵詞檢索，提高檢索的准確性。

1）簡單檢索

簡單檢索位於主頁頁面的右側中部，提供1個檢索入口和1個檢索項目選項。使用者可在檢索輸入框中輸入1個檢索式（檢索式可為詞、日期或號碼）再選擇檢索項目的下拉列表選項，以限定輸入的檢索式的搜索范圍，最後點擊"檢索"按鈕即可。"檢索項目"的下拉列表共提供了9個選項，分別是：申請（專利）號、申請日、公開（告）號、公開（告）日、申請（專利權）人、發明（設計）人、名稱、摘要、主分類號。

（2）高級檢索

點擊主頁頁面的右側中部的"高級檢索"，進入檢索頁面，可看到頁面最上方有"發明專利"、"實用新型專利"、"外觀設計專利"三種選擇，預設狀態下默認為在全部專利中進行檢索，即檢索全部的發明、實用新型和外觀設計專利。如果選擇"發明專利"、"實用新型專利"或"外觀設計專利"中的任意一項，檢索將只在選定的專利類型資料庫中進行。
（3）IPC分類檢索

在檢索頁面右側提供了"IPC分類檢索"的鏈接，點擊進入可看到頁面左側列出了國際專利分類表8個部的代碼和類名，右側列出16個檢索欄位。因為IPC分類號只適用於發明和實用新型專利，因此頁面最上方只顯示出了"發明專利"和"實用新型專利"兩種選項。IPC分類檢索可實現對國際專利分類號的類名查詢及檢索功能，並且可以在限定分類號的基礎上，進行分類號和其他欄位的組配檢索，各檢索欄位之間全部為邏輯"與"運算。點擊任意一個部的類名，系統會逐級列出該部下的大類、小類、大組、小組的類名，右面 "分類號"入口處會出現相應的類名，在其他檢索入口中輸入檢索式，點擊頁面下部的"檢索"，將得到分類號和其他欄位組配檢索的結果。如果點擊類名左側的"搜"字圖標，將得到該對應分類下所有發明和實用新型專利的檢索結果。
